The Starting Line, Where Wellness Begins
Wellness coaching is a powerful relationship between a client and coach which explores the client’s greatest health concerns and goals, the obstacles to achieving those goals, and strategies to overcome the obstacles.As your coach I will empower you to make lasting changes that significantly can impact your health and well-being. Most individuals know exactly what they need to do to improve their health, whether it be losing weight, reducing stress, exercising, or following physician recommendations. However, actually following through and taking action, or maintaining action for a lifetime, is an ongoing task for many individuals.
During our coaching sessions, topics of concern to you, the client, are explored. It is my job, as your coach, to ask the tough questions which will get you to explore your deepest motivations for change, finally connecting your heart and head.
The first step in the coaching process is to create your wellness vision. As your coach, I will guide you in answering the following questions:
- If I were at my optimum level of health and well-being, what would that look like and feel like?
- Why does this truly matter to me?
- Why now?
- What actions will I need to take to achieve this vision?
- What will motivate me to keep taking action and sustain my vision?
- How confident am I that I will achieve this vision?
- How committed am I to achieving my vision?
- What obstacles will I need to overcome to stay in action?
- What strategies will I use to overcome my obstacles?
- In what ways will my life and relationships be enhanced by achieving my vision?
- What single step am I committed to taking today to begin walking towards my vision?
When necessary, I will provide the scientific information to help you design a balanced program of exercise, nutrition, and health management. Little by little you will achieve and taste success, by figuring out what works for you as a unique, individual. I will help you tap into your personal strengths, build your confidence, and utilize the creative, resourcefulness you possess.
My coaching will help you experience improved self-esteem and enhanced life satisfaction. You will learn to use positive self-talk, prioritize and tackle life-balancing issues, and begin to live your life in line with your core values leading to a sense of well-being, calmness and happiness
